With mid-term upon us (and exams fast approaching!), how is everyone's semester going thus far?
I know that in my case there is a TON of terminology, maxims and conditions to keep track (I am taking 601). The class is very interesting. I read ahead a little to the IPA section of the syllabus and now I think that my fellow commuters think I am now some sort of weirdo because for the past few days I've been trying to create sounds (m, n, l, s, sh, shh a, etc) in order to get a sense of what plosive, labial, labiodental, fricative mean and what they sound like.
